Customer Reviews
This is one of a number of devices I have purchased for a variety of modestly sized security systems. I find the images during daylight to be excellent for the application (access and egress points) and the nighttime IR works surprisingly well. I would commend these to a buyer who needs 'bang for the buck', has some modest exterior application issues (wind, salt air, rain). Would suggest a dome for snow/icy conditions.
Easy to install, works from the moment it is plugged in, with no hitches, problems, or issues. The components are sturdy and I expect to use more of these devices in the future. The 420 TVL deliver good facial recognition, the color is good, but the night capabilities are especially good for the number of IR LEDs.
I agree with Greg in Nashville. Everything seems just too bright ; peachey for me to believe that a lot of these reviews are written by company reps. While I do like the camera... , the resolution is very good (not great) during the day, the night vision isn't that good. Also, I don't know how these people are recording with this camera (motion or otherwise). I tried it on two different systems including my new Zmodo 8- Channel DVR and can't record with it. I can take still shots but again, can't record. Other than that...., it's a nice little camera for the price. Remember people...., you get what you pay for....... :-)
